With the artists making good progress on both wall murals, Day 3 was
spent completing the pieces and adding the final touches. The two
artworks are completely different in styles but equally striking
representing all facets of graffiti. Photos of the completed works to
Day one of the City of Gold large scale murals saw the artists plotting out their ideas for their collaborative murals. There are two walls currently underway 1. Braamfontein, corner Wolmarans & Melle Street (SOLO ONE, OKUDA, HACONE, REKZO, TOE007) 2. Maboneng Precinct, corner Kruger & Marshall Street (CASE, TASSO, LAZOO, ATOM, MAK1ONE, CURIO, RASTY). City of Gold Urban Art Festival got off to an amazing start yesterday with the opening of the City of Gold exhibition at Afronova, Braamfontein. The show features a unique selection of works by all the featured artists in the festival. Thank you to everyone who attended, and if you didn’t make it, the exhibition runs at Afronova, Braamfontein (Corner Smit and De Beer Str) 10am – 5pm for the duration of the festival. The exhibition will close with a walkabout on Saturday at 12 noon at Afronova.
